Red-hot R&B artist Rihanna and back-in-the-news rap-rocker Kid Rock have been added to the concert lineup of this year’s Arizona State Fair.

Rihanna, who was all over urban radio during the summer with her hit, Umbrella, will perform Oct. 20 at the fair, which runs Oct. 12 to Nov. 4. Also on that bill is Baby Bash, a young rapper with Latin roots.

Kid Rock, who was briefly arrested in Las Vegas for fighting with rocker Tommy Lee at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 9, will perform on Oct. 23.

Also added to the schedule is a pairing of modern rockers Live and Collective Soul on Oct. 19.

Already announced are appearances by country’s Gretchen Wilson and Sugartown, comedian Howie Mandel and a Halloween concert by the Valley’s own Alice Cooper.

Also signed to perform at Veterans Memorial Coliseum at the State Fairgrounds in Phoenix are country duo Montgomery Gentry, classic rocker Steve Miller, comic Howie Mandel and the Old School Jam.

Dates for those shows are Wilson, Oct. 13; Yankovic, Oct. 16; Montgomery Gentry, Otc. 26; Cooper, Oct. 31; Sugarland with Little Big Town, Nov. 1; Old School Jam, Nov. 2; Miller, Nov. 3.
