Posted by Fai on August 14th, 2007

Rihanna is on the rebound after a painful break.

In her foot, that is.

The 19-year-old “Umbrella” songbird has been hobbling around on crutches lately—she broke a toe on her right foot earlier this month, when she accidentally walked into a chair on her vacation.

But no worries. Rihanna told me she’s healing quite nicely. “My foot is still here and still working,” she joked with me on Friday, while prepping to shoot the new video for her single “Hate That I Love You” in Los Angeles.

Rihanna whips up a storm
Posted by Fai on June 2nd, 2007

Four years ago, like thousands of others across the world, Rihanna was a 15-year-old schoolgirl with dreams of music stardom. But for Rhianna, the dream was destined to come true, and it started with a life-changing case of being in the right place at the right time.

Music producer, Evan Rogers, was on holiday in Rihanna’s native Barbados with his wife in 2003. A friend introduced them and, spotting the ambitious teen’s talents right away, Evan helped her record some music samples and send them off to various recording studios, including American rapper Jay-Z’s label, Def Jam.

Rihanna ‘Stoked’ about MTv Movie Awards
Posted by Fai on June 1st, 2007

It only makes sense for a king to have a queen. Or in this case, perhaps she’s a princess.

Either way, and with apologies to Beyoncé, Rihanna has been making like her label prez Jay-Z and ruling the summertime with a huge hit.

“I’m from Barbados, so I love the warm weather,” the singer said. “Summertime is my favorite, especially being in a country [now] where there is winter. I can’t wait for summer to come. I give more energy, and I always put out a song that’s perfect for summer because it’s special for me. It’s important for me to make sure that my hottest song comes out [during the] summer.”
